
Senior Minister
Rev. William Brown accepted the call to serve Bedford First Christian Church in March of 2022. Rev. Will is from Iowa and is a lifetime Disciples of Christ member. He graduated from Texas Christian University with a BA in Religion Studies, and earned a Masters of Divinity from Brite Divinity School, and was ordained in 2016. He enjoys all things outdoors, including hanging out with his dog, bee keeping, and camping ministries. He is also passionate about social justice and anti-racism ministries, as well as advocating for equality.

Choir Director
Lillie Judge is from Charlotte, NC and is currently completing her Master’s Degree in Voice Performance at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music. She earned her Bachelor in Music from Westminster Choir College, where she studied Voice Performance and Sacred Music. Lillie believes that music is an essential part of worship and that it allows both the musicians and congregation the opportunity to connect with God through a different medium of communication. Through her service with the Chancel and Bell Choir’s, she hopes to create meaningful moments of fellowship and strengthen spiritual relationships.

A/V Technician
Duncan Kane is currently going to school at Indiana University in Bloomington. He handles all the sound and live stream for our Sunday Services. Duncan is a valuable member of the staff and his technical knowledge is appreciated.
Administrative Assistants
Mitzi Flynn and Dawn Manke provide support and assistance to the minister and lay leadership of the congregation in coordinating the work of the church office. They also provide help and support for the members and the community who contact the office.

Mitzi was born and raised in Bedford and has three grown children, Jenn, Jesse and Micah, and two grandchildren, Carson and Maggie. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her family, nurture house plants and go on road trips. Mitzi is in the office on Monday.

Dawn has lived in Bedford since 2005. Dawn and her husband Jerry have three children, Alexander, Aaron and Amelia.
During her free time, she enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with her family. Dawn is in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Organist
Mary Ruth Yates provides music for all Sunday worship services as well as special services. She arranges for special music during the summer months and a meditative music time for the Christmas Eve service and is the accompanist for the Chancel Choir and special music.

Custodian
Steve Harrell oversees the daily upkeep of the church. He makes sure everything within the church remains in top working order. Steve has been with the church for many years and remains faithful to his duties.
