Pastor Bruce Ervin was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, but Indiana was the second of the 49 states that he’s been in, so he’s happy to consider himself an adopted Hoosier. An ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and the United Church of Canada for more than 35 years, he has served ministries in Mooresville, Bloomington and Martinsville, Indiana since returning to the Midwest in 2011. History, baseball and travel are among his passions. He is honored to be serving as the Pastor here at First Christian Church-Bedford.

Organist
Mary Ruth Yates provides music for all Sunday worship services as well as special services. She arranges for special music during the summer months and a meditative music time for the Christmas Eve service and is the accompanist for the Chancel Choir and special music. |
Administrative Assistant
Mitzi Flynn provides support and assistance to the minister and lay leadership of the congregation in coordinating the work of the church office. She also provides help and support for the members and the community who contact the office. Mitzi was born and raised in Bedford and has 3 grown children and 2 dogs. In her spare time, she loves to read, walk her dogs, collect all things M&Ms and go on road trips. She is also a huge Whovian fan and can talk Dr. Who for hours with anyone that will listen! Custodian
Steve Harrell oversees the daily upkeep of the church. He makes sure everything within the church remains in top working order. Steve has been with the church for many years and remains faithful to his duties. |
