Youth Christmas Pageant/White Gift Service and Luncheon
Sunday December 17th - During Worship
Invite all your family and friends to enjoy this special Sunday. Our youth will bless us with an original Christmas program: Among the Least of These: A Christmas Play Adapted from the carol “The Friendly Beasts” by Christa Tahere. Also remember to bring your non-perishable food items wrapped in white paper to be brought up front during the worship service! Please stay and celebrate with the youth at the Luncheon Fellowship immediately after worship!
Some years, Christmas is anything but merry. If this is one of those years for you, then you are invited to join us on Thursday, December 21, at 7:00 pm, at First Christian Church, for an Ecumenical service sponsored by First Presbyterian, St. John’s Episcopal, First United Methodist and First Christian along cooperation from the local funeral homes. We will hear some comforting readings, sing some quiet carols, light some candles in memory of loved ones, and be reminded that even in the midst of pain and grief, God is with us.
Christmas Eve Services
Morning Worship as usual at 10:30 am. Join us for a relaxing morning as we sing carols and celebrate communion.
Christmas Eve Candlelight and Communion Service
Festive music will begin at 10:30 pm with the service starting at 11:00 pm: Scripture readings and carols in a wonderful candlelight atmosphere as we once again welcome the Christ Child into our midst.
New Year’s Eve
It’s still Christmas, (the 7th day) so carols are still very much in order (but maybe we’ll dispense with the seven swans a-swimming). We will also hear a short sermon and celebrate communion. Worship will start at the usual time of 10:30 am.
At 10:30 each Sunday morning we worship together. The Welcome Center is located close to the "Canopy Door," which is the main entrance from the parking lot.
Please join us on Sunday mornings before worship for coffee,
tea, juice, fresh fruit, a variety of tasty treats and fellowship.
Friendly faces are waiting there to greet you.
Bedford First Christian Church is a place where different view points about God, faith and current issues are welcome. This openness is sometimes challenging, but our faith deepens when we listen to one another's stories. We give thanks for our long and rich history
as a historic downtown congregation.
